Once you upload your pictures and choose a target format, your browser reads the local files directly and renders each image onto an HTML5 Canvas. The images are then re-encoded into your chosen format (JPG, PNG, WebP, or BMP) natively by the browser. No files are ever uploaded across the internet.
The tool implements an asynchronous single-item processing queue. By converting images one by one and immediately disposing of the canvas memory buffer, our batch converter can handle over a hundred images consecutively without crashing your browser. The results are securely held as local Blob objects for instant individual download or convenient ZIP packaging.
Please note: Converting images to JPG will fill transparent backgrounds with white, as JPEG does not support alpha channels. BMP files are uncompressed bitmaps and are naturally much larger. Additionally, if re-encoding results in a larger file than the source, the original file is preserved to prevent reverse compression.
